With yoga classes scheduled from dawn until dusk at Palm Trees Yoga School, an Ayurvedic spa, a riverside restaurant serving a fusion of South Indian and European cuisine and an amazing hospitality team, we have everything you need for a truly relaxing yoga retreat in Goa. We are also just a 10-minute ride from the bright lights and hotels of Palolem, offering the addition of Goan beach nightlife if you are looking for it. Yoga Goa

Palm Trees Yoga sits on the riverbank, just over the bridge from the resort. The shala is made from local resources, palm leaves and coconut wood, fitting into the natural surroundings. Amongst the palm trees, the shala space remains cool and shaded throughout the day. All equipment is provided and while you are welcome to bring your own yoga mat, we have enough for everyone. 

Yoga Classes run from 8am to 6pm. The school hosts a team of experienced yoga teachers providing a repertoire of classes for you to choose from. We cater for all levels, from beginners to advanced yogis. As our guest, we encourage you to make your own schedule in accordance with your holiday plans. Private yoga classes can be arranged on request.

Yoga Classes

Our schedule varies throughout the season with guest teachers staying with us for months at a time in Goa. Julia is the resident yoga teacher and there for the duration. The yoga retreat offers the following styles of yoga classes:

Vinyasa Flow (all levels)

This is the most popular of our daily classes. Students will be guided through an active movement meditation, linking breath with movement. Sequences will be taught in accordance with the level of the class. These classes are often taught as our morning practice as classes are energising and will set you up for a beautiful day on the beach. Classes will start with a gentle stretch that will progress into larger movements to fully awaken each and every part of your body. Heat built in the body will help to eliminate toxins, leaving you fresh and rejuvenated.

Hatha (beginners yoga)

Our daily Hatha classes are ideal for beginners as postures are static with time to focus on key points of alignment. Guests will be guided through the fundamental postures of yoga varying from standing to seated to supine postures. These classes will finish with a final relaxation to leave you feeling fully restored.

Ashtanga Yoga Led (intermediate)

This is a set sequence of postures as laid out by Sri K. Patthabi Jois. A modified version of the sequence is taught several times a week as a morning practice. The sequence links breath with movement and postures are held for a 5-breath count. The sequence is designed to build heat in the body in order to release toxins on a physical and emotional level.

Rocket Yoga (intermediate to advanced yoga)

This is a playful version of the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Join Julia for Rocket Yoga 1, 2 & 3 as she guides you, at her discretion, through this led class. Each class will take on a particular theme to enhance the set sequence, allowing for playtime with handstands, arm balances, transitions and more.

Yin Yoga (all levels)

With bolsters, blocks, blankets and candles, this is the yoga class to let yourself go. Postures are help for 3 to 5 minutes (sometimes longer.) This is a passive practice that allows you to fully relax at the end of the day. With music and stories, this can be a truly magical experience for the end of your day. 

Pranayama and Meditation

Morning classes encourage an inward journey and tranquil start to the day. We offer a range of breathwork and meditation techniques that are taught to varying levels. Tuning in to the sounds of nature, the birds, the distant ocean, the local wildlife is the best way to reconnect with true nature.

The Yoga Retreat

Accommodation

The yoga retreat is a residential package and guests will enjoy accommodation in our Keralan style eco-cottages. We have several options to suit all budgets offering private and twin cottages. All cottages have a modern private bathroom attached and a terrace with breakfast provided in our riverside restaurant.

The Ayurvedic Spa

We have an onsite Ayurvedic Spa and a massage is included in this package. You can book in for as many treatments as you need. If you are looking for a little more pamper, why not join our Yoga and Ayurvedic Retreat.

Location Goa

We are just 1.5 hrs drive from Goa International Airport, located between Patnem and Rajbhag Beaches. The hotels of Palolem are just s short ride away and we are close to the La Lit Resort. The area has heaps to offer including international cuisine, incredible seafood, nightlife, great shopping, several blissful nearby beaches, surf, waterfalls, a spice farm and more.

We offer a 24 hr taxi service and you can check in at anytime. Retreats start on Sundays although we will do are best to accommodate you throughout the week.
